My ideal holiday

My perfect holidays or weekends  may exist if I go to different countries or even to my grandmother's. Now we are having module 6 in our student book. And I`d like to travel to Canada. This country has spectacular views and different places. Like Roadside attractions, you can see there some dinosaurs and different heads of animals, but of cource these statues were made of limestone.
 Since I have been to Venice many times, I would fly there many times. After all, this is a beautiful city on the water, with canals, with gondolas and of course with gondoliers.
And my holidays or holidays would not have been complete without visiting the statue of the Motherland. After all, this giant and magnificent statue stands in Volgograd and is visible to everyone. Near the end of the sword close to him, flying airplanes.
On this place, I stop my story.

Module 5

On our planet there are a lot of problems. For example in Haiti earthquake destroyed some homes and damage to people. Rescue team’s help to clearing the rubble, which is everywhere! The UN has offered a small wage to people in Haiti for helping to clean up the streets.
Also in the world there are many poor people. Greg Mortenson soft global problems, he has built around 80 schools and runs many others in Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries. He is a hero of  the our world.
There different charity events, for example: Red Nose Day and Red Cross. People wear silly outfit like a clowns and amuse people every year on 13 of March. And of course people make a donations for Comic Relief.
In the world there are many endangered species of animals. When different volunteers were in Brazil or Cameroon, there were shocked. This species only 300 of Pink River Dolphins, Cross River Gorilla and Loggerhead Sea Turtle. It is so bad information.
Also in the oceans there are a lot of polluted things. For example: islands of trash, oil and other bad things. People always kill 100,000 sea creatures every year, and, because of overfishing, there are fewer fish every day.
People make a different event to animals, to help animals. And every year, on 4th October people raise money for creatures and not only on this day.
In issue, we should help to planet and our friends-animals!

1.How does modern technology change the enviroment? 
I think, that technology improves the enviroment. People create new machines that influence less on the enviroment, foe example: electic cars. And people can recycle rubbish.People save natural resources using solar batteries.

2. How does modern technology influence our life?
Technology saves our time, our resources, it makes us healthier and makes our lifetime longer. Technology copes with serious diseases. It makes our work and communication easier. Thanks to technology we know more.

3. How does modern technology change our attitude to nature?
I think, technology makes us think about the enviroment. People nowdays take care of nature more than 100 years ago.
Thus technology makes our life and the enviroment better and helps to save nature.

Module 4

Sherwood Forest, this forest is one of the best places to have a rest. You can go windsurfing, drive a quad bike, go sailing and other activities. You can go for a walk in this wonderful forest. If you are going to have different parties in this forest, you take the plunge for your party. This place one of the best place for activities.
Also you can see different wildlife things, but what you can see in Yellowstone park those old Faithful, supervolcano and Grand Canyon. It is a miracle of nature. The geyser can sending water 30 to 60 metres for up into the air. Many scientists don’t know when this volcano will erupt and destroy western US. In Grand Canyon you can see animals, waterfalls and exciting hiking trails.
In the world there is one big underwater park. You can dive of all day and take photos. Underwater life so beautiful. You can see fishes, coral reefs and etc. But some people of all the world don’t think about the environment and drop litters, metal or other rubbish. These things damage coral reefs and underwater life.
In Sydney there a lot of attractions. For example: tarongo zoo in this place there a lot animals 5000, their famous theatre with not understanding form. This city is so exciting.
But if you are going to have a rest in a forest you should look at sings not to get into trouble. You should take food and drinks, compass and other things to safe your life. Also in Krasnaya Polyana and Moscow’s parks. In this places will probably has different dangers too.

Module 2

All people in the world eat food and drink.
 People in France celebrate lemon festival around 200000 visitors come to this festival. The artists make everything for example: dinosaurs, giant bananas or different statues.
 Also people in the UK eating salads, jacket potato, hot snacks and other food. People in India eating prawns, meat with rice and a variety of curry sauces. People in Russia like for example: pelmeni or caviar. Pelmeni it is batter and in this batter could be sauerkraut, meat or mushrooms. Caviar it is salted eggs of different fishes.
 All people choose which food they will eat healthy or unhealthy food. Healthy food it is salads, eggs and other food. Unhealthy food it is mayonnaise, cola, chocolate and fast food.
 In the eggs there are a lot of iron and protein, in salad there are a lot of minerals and vitamins. 
 Our body needs different vitamins and minerals for brains, muscles, bones and skin. We need to eat a lot of dishes for saturation and protect our body.
 Food and drinks is very important to the people and for their health.

Module 1

In your free time, you may stay at home or you can go somewhere. At home you can watch shows, for example: reality show such as "police, camera, action". It focuses on road crime and bad driving. Each episode has a catchy title and the narrator really draws the viewer into the action.

Also at home you have to do home chores: to do the washing up, to mop the floor, to make the bed, to take out the rubbish, lay the table, iron the clothes. 

After that you may leave your house and go somewhere: to a bowling alley, a water park, a shopping centre, a sport centre, an ice rink, a gym and an amusement park.

Also you can go farther and see different places. As for me I would go to California. I would ride and down San Francisco steep streets on a cable car. I would drive along the Big Sur coastline with its spectacular cliffs and sandy beaches.
I would like to visit in Florida Everglades, it is one of the USA’s largest and most beautiful national parks and a great place to go to escape from the city. On the swamps there are a lot of mosquitoes, but if you have insect repellent, mosquitoes it is not a problem.
Another place where can you be it is Sochi and Sanct-Petersburg. Sochi it’s a good place for relaxing, beside there is a “Black sea”. There are a lot of visitors in Sochi. Sanct-Petersburg it was ancient capital of Russia, in this city you can visit in museums, attractions and other places. I think Sochi it is perfect place for relaxing in Russia.

Module 6

      Very often I hear the question: "Have you ever been to Germany for example?" With pleasure i tell the people which countries I have visited last years. Almost all people travelled all over the world in their life. For example Paul had a brilliant time in Australia. He has made his dream come true: he swam with dolphins. For example Sarah had a lot of things to see and explored in Egypt. She was in the desert with the Pyramids. Also she has ridden a camel. But as for me James has got a really great experience in Italy. He has climbed up Mount Etna. It is the largest active volcano in Europe.

      Another way to explore our world is to be a volunteer. Being a volunteer changes your life. You learn about different cultures. But I think it is not simple to volunteer as it seems. Volunteers work in many different places around the world, including Cameroon, Nepal, Indonesia. They help people to bring positive changes.
     Visiting countries all over the world you shouldn't forget about the cultural habits. Many Chinese people will look at the ground when they greet you. It is a way to show respect. For example in Europe and the USA people shake always hands with a firm grip for showing strength of character, but for Turkish people it is a sign of anger. I have read of the fact, that in Poland yellow flowers uses at funerals and you shouldn't come at a party with them. In Italy yellow flowers indicate jealousy. For example in Malaysia it is rude to point at someone with your index finger, in Russia the same thing is impolite.
     There are some strange travel experiences. One young man was in London and one weird thing happened to him. He got on a London bus under number 7. The bus went through a strange part of London where houses, people looked old-fashioned. This man found out that such a bus with number 7 doesn't exist since 1958. Another 2 young men decided to go camping in mountains. They heard a strange noise like a creature was in pain. They ran as fast as they could back to their tent and called the ranger who came to pick them up. They never found out what that noise was.
    While travelling around the world all people use the mobile phones. It is convenient. Millions of people use mobile phones to keep in touch with friends and family. A mobile phone is actually a sophisticated radio that uses radio waves to communicate, like a really good walkie-talkie. A lot of us can't live without gadgets. But sometimes embarrassing moments happen while using the mobile phone. One man bought a really cool smartphone and he was so busy going through the menu when suddenly he walked smack-bang into someone. It was really funny seeing at him like he was a circus clown with ice-cream all over his face.
Travelling, exploring a lot of countries people get the possibility to make their life more interesting!

Module 5

Life in the past is much interesting than life at this moment in my opinion. I am interested in history and this module is full of rich information.
Pompeii was an ancient Roman city near Naples and Mt Vesuvius, a volcano in Italy. Pompeii was a busy city and in the centre there was a large marketplace and a forum. In Pompeii there was a large amphitheater and two smaller theatre. Pompeii had public baths, backers, restaurants and even a hotel. Unfortunately this city was destroyed by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius and buried it under ash.
Another ancient civilisation was Egyptian. Ancient Egyptians lived along the banks of the River Nile.The ancient Egyptians built houses and gigantic pyramids from stone. They hunted for animals and went fishing on the River Nile. In their free time they played music or board games. Ancient Egypt had a great civilisation.
I was impressed by reading of native Americans. When the Europeans arrived on the continent there were many different tribes. The Kwakiutl were fishermen.They had large wooden houses. They had canoes for fishing, hunting and trading. The Navajo were farmers and grew crops. They lived in houses made of earth and wood. The women farmed, looked after the children and did the house work. The men hunted and protected the tribe. At first, the Cheyenne lived like the Navajo. When the Europeans brought horses to America, they left their farms and moved from place to place.
But most I was impressed by the ancient Inca site in the Andes Mountains in Peru. The Incas were clever people and they knew how to do many things. They were also good farmers, they grew potatoes, corn. Machu Picchu was a great city. A lot of people lived there, but one day, they left and no one knows why.
History of different countries are attractive to me. For example our country had a really great impress Catherine the Great. She developed the arts and sciences in Russia. During her reign she made Russia a great nation. Catherine also improved the country's educational system.
UK had also legendary figures. Merlin was one of the most fascinating figures in British mythology. He was a wizard, a poet, a teacher and an advisor to kings. One day, Merlin had a vision tat the King's son, Arthur, was in great danger. Merlin advised the King to send his son to live in the forest and Merlin became his guardian and teacher. Now-days Merlin continues to fascinate people whenever they hear his story.
As we see from Merlin's story the UK is an interesting country. The Englishmen liked always music, dance, fashion, films very much. Music was very important to teenagers in the 1960. The Beatles and the Rolling Stones were everywhere at that time: on the radio, on TV. Most people had a television at hone in the '60s.
